Departmental Profile of the Department of History:
Since inception of the College, the Department received affiliation for teaching History for Two-year Degree Course for B. A. and then Three-year General and Honours Degrees course since 1996. Further, all the faculty members encourage the students to undertake field work so that they receive the practical outlook of the different theoretical issues. Also, the department takes initiative in organizing tours to historical places from time to time. It is a matter of pride for the department that most of its ex-students are well placed in various education and administrative services.
